This project is due to start in 2023. It will consist of a redeveloped of the historic Chocolate factory and partial demolition of some of the buildings in the area.
Thre build will included more than 230 new homes and a 100,000sqm of commercial floorspace. The chocolate factory is over 137 years old and was first created by Barratt & Co one of the largest sugar confectionery manufacturers in the world at the time. In 1966 this was sold to George Bassett operating from The Biscuit Factory until 9 years later when it closed its doors in 1975. In the mid 90s the premises were converted into studios for the creative arts.
